Literacy-Numeracy CAA

Alongside the curriculum changes, emphasis has been given to ensuring that the qualification best prepares students with the skills of Numeracy and Literacy. These assessments are set by NZQA and will be required for achieving any qualification.

Students in year 10 will have the opportunity to sit all three assessments in term 4. These assessments are Writing, Reading, and Numeracy. These will take place during normal school hours. If a student does not pass any of these assessments on their first attempt they will be able to sit it in subsequent years.

Students will have 2 periods to complete each of the three assessments. For all assessments, students and families will receive more precise timings closer to the date.
